Payment Options

Our Credit Union offers many payment methods to its members.

Lodge Funds to your account:

  • Counter: call into one of our branches in Clonakilty or Dunmanway with cash, cheque or your debit card.
  • Electronic Funds Transfer: you can manually transfer funds from your bank account to your credit union account. (see SEPA note below)
  • Standing Order: you can set up a regular standing order from your bank account to your credit union account.
  • Telephone: you can call us on 023 8833842 or 023 884 5787, speak to one of our staff and make a payment using your debit card.
  • Wage Deduction: you can set up with your employer to have your full wages or a set amount from your wages paid directly into your credit union account.

IBAN Number

  • Our BIC number is MCCRIE21
  • Please note our Credit Union does not facilitate Direct Debit.
  • Our Bank Account Name: Clonakilty & Dunmanway Credit Union Ltd
  • Please contact us for your UNIQUE IBAN number (023 8833842 or 023 884 5787) or if you are an online banking member, login to your account via the app and find your IBAN number of each account held with us by clicking on ACCOUNT BALANCES. If you login to your account via desktop or browser, you will find your IBAN number on your e-statement.
  • Each account you hold with us has an individual IBAN number e.g. share account, loan account, sub savings account.
  • Login to your own Bank App and set up a standing order or save your IBAN details to transfer section

SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area)

Clonakilty & Dunmanway Credit Union is registered for SEPA payments only.

If, as a member, you wish to transfer funds into your account, then the payment should be made as a SEPA payment only.

If you are aware that a third party is making a payment into your account, it is advisable that they tell their financial institution that the payment should be made via SEPA.

If a payment is sent in any other way, for example by SWIFT, the payment WILL be rejected by our processing Bank and the Payer may incur a rejection charge that he/she may be liable for.

What is SEPA?

SEPA stands for Single Euro Payments Area. A SEPA payment is sent through the SEPA Scheme.

The SEPA payment scheme was created to simplify euro transfers between EU member states. The SEPA scheme consists of the 27 EU Member States plus Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Monaco, the United Kingdom and San Marino.

To make a SEPA payment you need:

1. The IBAN of the person you want to pay
2. The bank to which you are sending the payment to be a member of the SEPA scheme
3. The payment to be in euro

Please note: Clonakilty & Dunmanway Credit Union is unable to accept SWIFT payments. You may incur charges if you attempt to send money to your account in Clonakilty & Dunmanway Credit Union via SWIFT.
